About the Author

LaShonda "Tropikana" Hatch

LaShonda "Tropikana" Hatch is a nationally recognized media personality, storyteller, and founder of The Parks Collective Agency, a social impact firm helping communities find, shape, and share their narratives.

Her favorite title will always be "Boogie's Mom." Her real-life adventures with Boogie inspired The Misadventures of Boogie & Friends, a series that celebrates imagination, resilience, accountability, and the heart of growing up.

Tropikana and Boogie are also the founders of Lit + Social, a literacy activation created to help children fall in love with reading, build community through shared stories, and strengthen social-emotional wellness through creativity, conversation, and connection.
